Bio:
I discovered bike racing in Italy – so it’s their fault. Having raced in France I quickly discovered that the vast amount of training I would need to do just to become crap was way too much. So I decided on another course of action. I started the UK’s (and possibly the worlds) only cycling fanzine and in the late 80′s I wrote for Bicycle for a while before deciding I liked getting paid and taking a real job. Now days I devote a vast amount of time to coaching, though this has now expand to consume most of my sleeping hours as well.
A former coach of the year I coach riders from under 5′s to World Masters level, in fact if I’m honest I’ll coach anyone that rides a bike, even if they don’t want it. At weekends I can be found in the street shouting ‘your saddle’s too high’ at passing cyclists.
I firmly believe that many of us (myself included) takes cycling far too seriously, it should be about having fun, being healthy and throwing rocks at dopers.

That is pretty much my life in a nutshell

Colin
