Coryn Rivera
Coryn Rivera…
THE BEGINNING:
It all started out with mountain biking with my dad every Sunday. Then my dad put slick tires and road bars on my mountain bike and i raced my first kiddy race at Redlands. I was sooo excited that I won, that i wanted to race again, but I’d have to wait next year for the next race. Meanwhile, I started to ride tandems with my dad. We would do centurys, half-centurys, metric-centuries, etc. Sooner or later I ended up riding all bymyslef because my sister wanted to ride on the tandem. So a year went by and I raced the Redlands kiddy race again, and i won again! So it came to my attention that I was a real champ. A kiddy champ that is. After my second kiddy race, I was eager to race more often. My dad searched for local races we could attend, then we found out about state championships and national championships. That same year I won 2 national championships!
WHY I RIDE BICYCLES:
Cycling, to me, isnt a sport, it isnt a hobby, it isnt an interest, cycling, to me, is a passion. And where passion comes from, there is no pain, there is no suffering, but only the LOVE of pain and suffering. And a passion is something you never quit in, you never forget about, and something you will always love. A passion is forever, cycling is forever.
