Boom Busts Open Paris-Nice Prologue

Holland’s 2008 world cyclo-cross champion Lars Boom won the Paris-Nice cycling prologue on Sunday in an 8-kilometer time trial in the town of Monfort-l’Amaury just outside the French capital.
German veteran Jens Voigt was second, three seconds behind Rabobank’s Boom, while American rider Levi Leipheimer took third.

  • Levi Leipheimer TGIF… Keeps Yellow Jersey in 2008 Tour of California after Stage 5

    Levi Leipheimer beat 2nd place David Millar by 28 seconds on a 30-minute ride. It was enough to hold off Fabian Cancellara and Robert Gesink and keep the yellow jersey.
    All three riders were on the course together, 2 minutes apart at the start, virtually riding head-to-head.
